JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Veterans had a chance to learn about potential jobs and ways to further their education Thursday during an opportunity expo. A company called RecruitMilitary organized the event, which was held inside one of the club areas at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. More than 30 companies, organizations and schools that were specifically looking for veterans were there, including the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and Jacksonville University. Organizers said about 460 veterans attended the job fair. RecruitMilitary will be back in Jacksonville in February, with another opportunity expo for veterans.
