Job Fair Taps Veterans' Skills

Veterans often have a difficult time adjusting from the battlefield back into the workforce and so the Recruit Military career fair is designed to help veterans and their families get jobs that suit their specific skills. FOX 7’s Lauren Petrowski visits the Monarch Event Center where veterans and family are expected to bring a stack of resumes and be ready to meet employers.

Larry Slagel, Senior VP of RecruitMilitary talks about the economic impact on the veteran community. He says that the employers that will be taking part in this event appreciate what veterans have done.

Schlumberger, Boeing, SAIC, and the Austin Police Department are mentioned in this morning show segment.
