How does RecruitMilitary operate?
RecruitMilitary is a nationwide, full-service military-to-civilian recruiting firm. We use advanced online and offline products to connect men and women who have military backgrounds with:
- Employers in all industries
- Educational institutions offering courses to help veterans advance their careers
- Franchisors with business opportunities for veterans
RecruitMilitary was founded in 1998 by Drew Myers, formerly a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. In August 2008, we acquired Landmark Destiny Group, another major force in the military-to-civilian recruiting niche.
Can I talk with a recruiter or placement specialist?
Sure. Please make sure you have registered online at http://www.recruitmilitary.com and have uploaded a current resume. Once you have accomplished this, please feel free to call our offices at any time to speak with a recruiter. Our recruiters are all military veterans with extensive experience helping veterans in their job search. They have been down your path before and know the tough decisions involved with transitioning from the military and/or transitioning from one civilian job to another. They are experienced and can answer any questions you may have.
Do you consider me a veteran?
We define "veteran status" differently than the US Government. We include anyone who has worn a uniform in support of the US military: those who didn't serve on active duty, as well as the Guard and Reserves.
And if you served in the military of a US ally, you are also welcome to join. Our customers really only care that they are getting qualified applicants with military character.
How can I stop the email messages I am receiving?
There are two ways to stop the email messages you are receiving. On our marketing messages, there will be a link at the bottom of the message to click on to "unsubscribe."
You can also go to your candidate profile where you can unsubscribe from up to three messages (newsletters, Career Fair messages, Partnership messages).
How do I check on the status of my application?
Every job on our website is handled differently depending on how the different employers want to communicate with candidates. Some job openings are handled directly by our recruiters and some are handled by the companies themselves. The best way to communicate and follow up with job applications is to go to the specific job posting that you applied for and look at the bottom of the page for the "apply here" or "contact information" links.
What if the "retrieve password" link doesn't work?
Send an email to CandidateServices@RecruitMilitary.com and we'll try to help you.
Do you provide general career advice/interview prep services?
Currently, this is not a service that we offer.
