Where can I find a list of exhibitors?

We publish a list of organizations that are attending specific career fairs seven days before the event. We don't do it sooner for business competition reasons. Also, we publish a list of companies who participate in our expos on a regular basis.

Do I have to be registered to attend?

No. We encourage you to register for the event well in advance, as it helps put your name in front of the companies attending the expo, as well as to thousands of other organizations who utilize RecruitMilitary. It also helps us with our venue planning, to ensure all participants are comfortable.

How many people usually attend a expo?

The number varies from city to city; the range is typically 250-800.

Are there salaried/executive opportunities available?

Yes. In our 10+ years of business, we have helped a very large number of veterans find salaried opportunities. In fact, veterans have found opportunities in roles from President to CFO to Plant Manager, and so on. The biggest mistake that many job-seekers make is assuming there is no salaried role for them based solely on the name of the company at a expo or online. Many of the best opportunities can be found in those companies that aren't actively advertising a salaried or executive opportunity, but are "always on the lookout" for talent.

Can family members, other than spouses, attend?

Yes. In fact, we strongly encourage it!

I've been out of the military for a long time, I'm not just transitioning. Will it be worth my while to attend a expo since I have a lot more experience?

Yes. There are a variety of opportunities available with the companies that participate in our expos. In fact, many employers are looking for veterans that have military and civilian experiences.

Can I send my resume to you so you can hand it out at the expo?

No. You can register on our website and upload your resume, but of course, it won't be distributed at the expo. We don't need to tell you that being there in person is important to finding the right job.

What do I need to bring with me to the expo?

Bring about twenty (20) copies of your resume. There will be some companies that want your resume on site; however, due to new regulatory laws some companies will require you to apply online and upload your resume.

Is there an entrance fee or participation fee for this event?

No. All of our events and services are free for job seekers.

How do you select expo cities? (why not my city? why not a specific city?)

RecruitMilitary carefully selects the cities and venues in which we produce our military veteran expos. Among the other variables we consider, we look at the number of veterans in or around each city, we analyze the number of employers likely to attend, we consider the economic condition of the city and its surrounding area, and we consider our past successes in the city.
