How do I get past the "Email address already in use" message?
Maybe you were in the process of registering, but got disconnected. Now you get a message that says my email address is already in use. What gives?
If you got past the first page of the registration, your profile has been created. Once your profile has been created, you will receive a welcome email from RecruitMilitary, which includes confirmation of your username and password. If for some reason you do not receive this email, request your password to continue your registration process.
How do I get past all of the military questions on the registration form?
It is very important that we gather as much information as possible about you, as it makes you more searchable through our clients and recruiters. This is a requirement that we have had in place for years and it serves our veteran-friendly employers well.
What is the purpose of the Headline? What should I put in there?
This is the first thing employers see about you when they are doing a resume search in our site. This is different than your resume. Please utilize this headline to make a 10 word "announcement" about your candidacy for civilian jobs.
Why won't the system allow me to log in?
There are a variety of reasons that you are unable to log in: your session cookies may not be enabled in you web browser or your security/privacy settings may be too high in your browser. You might also be using an incorrect username and/or password.
What should I do if there is already an account with my e-mail address?
If an e-mail has been used in the past, it can not be used to create a new account. You can request your password.
What if the "retrieve password" link doesn't work?
Send an email to support@recruitmilitary.com and we'll try to help you.
What if I can't complete my career fair registration?

Why won't the system allow me to update my profile?

Why do I have to include salary information in my profile?
Salary information is one of the many criteria that employers/recruiters use when conducting candidate searches.
Given all of the personal data the profile requires, why don't you have a secure system?
If you would like to switch to SSL, simply add an "s" to the http address when you are at our site. You will be working securely.
If I found a job and I no longer want to be included in your database. How do I remove my profile?
If you no longer wish to receive messages from us, please logon to our site at www.recruitmilitary.com/mybriefcase/default.asp, click "edit my profile" and click "deactivate my profile" at the bottom of the page.
Can I show that I served in more than one branch of the military in my profile?
Unfortunately you can not do this. Please provide under the "additional information" section of your profile.
