TubcuT
The TubcuT™ was invented by Virginia Piper in 1993 and is the first product to modify an existing bathtub into a walk-in shower. The TubcuT™ becomes integral to the existing bathtub, following all external contours seamlessly, and is used with the existing shower curtain. The TubcuT™ can be installed in any bathtub type and is color matched to the existing bathtub creating a factory made appearance. When no longer needed, The TubcuT™ can be reversed by re-installing the cut-out section, restoring the bathtub to its original condition and preserving the re-sale value of the property. There have been no product failures in 15 years and thousands of TubcuT™ installations.
Because our aging population is growing so rapidly, The TubcuT™ is a valuable product enabling people to age at home and retirement facilities to adjust their properties to accommodate the needs of their residents.
There are several accessories for The TubcuT™ that include the installation of grab bars, a bath seat, a hand-held shower and a non-skid bathmat.
The ShowercuT™ converts an existing bathtub into a shower by the addition of shower doors. We do not promote this product as an "accessible design" because of the doors, yet it is quite an attractive remodeling product.
